Out walking . . .

We found a large and very tall tree in the park across from our apartment.

Our apartment in the background (orange and yellow).

Flowers from our Mothers Day brunch at church last Sunday.

 Interesting little blue/purple flower.

Went walking down the stairs past one of the many breweries.

 Front of the brewery.

We pass this sculpture most every day by car so thought I would stop and introduce myself.

A close up of my friends.

An interesting door to an apartment building.

These are the memorial markers on the sidewalk in front of the apartments where the Jewish people were taken away to concentration camps.  The first date is the birthdate and the second date is the year they were taken.  Riga is the concentration camp.

Another pretty flower.

P-day and saying goodbye

Our district - Elder Rahlf being weird with a knife and a can of root beer.
The missionaries love A&W root beer and it can only be found at the commissary.

From left to right - Elder Rahlf (Utah), Sister Grossen (Arizona), Sister Staacke (Germany), the two of us,
Elder Griffey (Tennessee), Elder Tholen (Utah), Elder Faux (with a silly face - Utah) and Despains (Montana).

Playing frisbee football - those young missionaries ran me ragged!!

At least I got over 14,000 steps that day on my fitbit.

Trying to block Sister Grossen.

Our fun missionaries climbing around in the tree.

Our whole district on top of the tower.

 Just about done in!

By now I was huffing and puffing - I should have chosen referee like Norm did.

 The tower from the bottom.

Here comes the frisbee - catch it!!! I broke a fingernail trying to catch that thing.

 Looking down from the tower

I can't keep up with Sister Grossen!

Norm was being referee lying on the bench catching some rays.

Our missionaries leaving us this transfer.
Elder Rahlf going home to Utah (by way of the Phillipines where his father is the mission president);
Elder Faux going to Switzerland and Sister Staacke to Austria.

The view down from the top of the Killsberg tower on p-day.

 Sisters being crazy!!!

Elder Erickson eating his breakfast - being transferred to Salzburg (a beautiful city).

Sisters Staacke and Grossen and Elder Mantle (Missouri)

All the sisters in our zone. Sister Baker (front left) was headed back to Idaho.
Sister Gardner (in front) and Sister Staacke (tallest in back) were being transferred.

At the train station making sure all the bags and missionaries get on the train.
