Zugspitz and Neuschwanstein Castle

On top of Zugspitz - highest peak in Germany (9700 ft). Very cold and very windy!
We could see many mountain ranges all around us.

A beautiful lake we could see from the top.

This is one of the cable cars that bring people up the mountain. It was rather scary!!!

About blew us away - the wind gusts were so strong.

No, I didn't put this Jackson Hole sticker on the wall, but loved seeing it!!!

We went down to a plateau by another cable car and then took a train through the mountain to the bottom.

 The Alps - incredibly beautiful!

We went to Neuschwanstein castle - this castle was the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Sorry it's not a good picture - We were in a lot of rain here.

We walked down from the castle - Norm, Bob and Steve.

Out of focus, but still an interesting picture.

A very colorful rainbow. Thought about walking to the end of it and looking for the pot of gold,
but just didn't have the time!!! Maybe another day.

Another (bad) picture of Neuschwanstein castle.

Tubigen and Oberammergau

Norman's brother, Steve and Bob, came for a visit.
We started our trip going through the old town of Tubigen.

The cemetary at the Oberammergau church.

The inside of the church - extremely ornate!

More than extremely ornate!!! Oberammergau, Germany.

The painted ceiling in the church - it was very colorful.

Herrenberg and the Black Forest

This is the pretty little town of Herrenberg, Germany south of where we live in Stuttgart.

 Herrenberg

We were standing on the lookout tower of the Herrenberg Castle - The castle is mostly gone.

 Onion dome church - Herrenberg

We drove through the Black Forest - it was beautiful.

Some very colorful balconies in Tubigen.

Two sneaky missionaries decorating the sisters apartment. Elders Hadfield and Sorenson.
After this picture was taken, they scattered confetti all over the apartment floor.
